The LCD display has a setting for "Static Frequency Tolerance" with 6 settings (1,2,4,6,8,10%) - the default setting is 6%. The setting can be adjusted to the quality of the electricity in use. For a generator you would set it to 1%. The OL3000RTXL2U has a special "generator mode" setting for use with generators.
